Der Brunnen des Abdul Karim Al-Shurbadschi (Sabil Abed al-Karim al-Shurbaji)

The fountain was built on the western side of the northern end of Al Wad Street to welcome visitors entering the city through the Bab Al-Amud (Damascus Gate), one of the city's main gates. It was Abdul Karim al-Shurbadschi, a citizen of Jerusalem, who built this fountain in 1097 Hijri / 1685 AD.

The fountain consists of a single chamber with a double window in the north facade crowned by a flat pointed dome. It is unknown when the operation was discontinued. The Sabil was converted in 1969 into a mosque.
